New Delhi: The fight between central investigating agencies and the state government in West Bengal is not a new thing. But on Friday this fighting reached its limit. An ED team going to investigate a case was fatally attacked. Two ED officers have been injured and vehicles have been damaged in this attack. Now Bharatiya Janata Party has attacked the Mamta government of the state regarding this matter.
Speaking to the media in Delhi on Friday evening, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said that Bengal has become synonymous with Jungle Raj under Mamata Banerjee’s rule. The law and order situation in the state has collapsed and Mamata Banerjee does not have the right to continue on the post of Chief Minister, she should resign. Gaurav Bhatia said that the ED officers who had gone to West Bengal to investigate were fatally attacked by Trinamool Congress goons and illegal Rohingya infiltrators.
‘Mamata Banerjee has a long history of violence’
He said that it is shameful that Bengal has become synonymous with Jungle Raj right under Mamata Banerjee’s nose. It is also worrying that the law and order situation in Bengal has completely collapsed. Giving information about the injuries to ED officers, he said that the attack was by Shahjahan Sheikh but he was instigated by the anarchist Chief Minister of the state and when the ED called the police there and asked for help, the Bengal Police talked to the ED officers. Refused to even do it. Taking aim at Mamata Banerjee, Bhatia said that Mamata Banerjee has a history, on May 2, 2021, when the results of the assembly elections in West Bengal came, on the same day there was violence, murders, rapes and houses were burnt. Because the goons know they have nothing to fear, they have the protection of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Earlier, when the CBI team had gone there for investigation, they were locked in the room.
‘Mamata has no right to remain on the post of CM even for a day’
Demanding Mamata Banerjee’s resignation, he said that Mamata Banerjee does not have the right to remain on the post of Chief Minister even for a day and she should resign. He has also demanded Mamata Banerjee to apologize to the injured ED officers. He also raised questions on snatching of laptops from ED officers. Talking about the fight between the batons of law and Mamata’s goons, Bhatia said that law will win. Democracy has ended in West Bengal. When the Constitution and the uniform no longer have any influence, when the Chief Minister does not stand with the law but instead stands with the goons, then it would not be wrong to say that Mamata Banerjee has only the pleasure of power in her mind. Mamta Banerjee has today become synonymous with Jungle Raj.
