Greater Noida: Fake passport, visa and drug supply gang busted, 3 Nigerians arrested

Noida. Greater Noida Police on Tuesday claimed to have busted a gang allegedly involved in making fake visas and passports by arresting three Nigerian nationals living in Delhi. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida) Abhishek Verma said the three have been found involved in drug smuggling and illegally providing mobile SIM cards to foreign nationals residing in Delhi-NCR. Verma said, 65 grams of MDMA (narcotic substance) was found from these three Nigerian nationals, which cost around Rs 12 lakh. 18 fake passports and 21 fake visas, 30 mobile phones and 20 active SIM cards have been recovered from them.

“These three had come to India between 2012 and 2018 but were staying illegally despite the expiry of their passports and visas,” the official said. According to the report, DCP Abhishek Verma told that the arrested people were running their gang in Vikaspuri area of ​​Delhi for a long time. One of the arrested accused has also confessed to committing cyber fraud. The accused used to cheat people through Instagram and Facebook.

Police have recovered stamp pads, two laptops, 48 ​​fake US dollars, a car and a scooty from the accused. Police said that the Noida administration is continuously taking action against Nigerian citizens living in India illegally. In this sequence, the Greater Noeja Police had exposed the fake SIM card. In this case, information of three foreign people was found during the investigation. The three accused from Nigeria used to make fake visas illegally.
