Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran; how Israel was surrounded on a triple front in the fire of revenge

Israel has been surrounded on a triple front for the past one year. On one side is Hamas, on the other is Hezbollah and on the third front is Iran attacking it. The Israeli army is also seen fighting it bravely. Early on Sunday, Israel carried out air strikes in Lebanon targeting the bases of Shia militia Hezbollah. Shortly after this, Hezbollah also retaliated against Israel by firing a large number of drones. Hezbollah says that the attack was carried out to avenge the killing of its top commander Fouad Shukur in Beirut. Now due to these attacks, the risk of a large-scale war breaking out in the region has increased. This may fail the efforts for a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, where Israel’s war against the Palestinian group Hamas has been going on for the last 10 months.

Israel carried out several attacks in the Gaza Strip on Saturday itself, in which 36 Palestinians were killed. 11 members of the same family, including 2 children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the city of Khan Younis. Officials said a total of 33 bodies were brought to the hospital, who were killed in three separate attacks in Khan Younis and its surrounding areas. It is known that the war in Gaza started on October 7. When Hamas and terrorists suddenly attacked Israel, about 1200 people were killed. These mainly include Israeli civilians. According to Israeli officials, more than 100 hostages were released during the ceasefire last year. Hamas is believed to still hold about 110 hostages, about a third of whom have died.

Iran supports Hamas and Hezbollah

Keep in mind that Israel started firing rockets on Gaza in connection with the October 7 attack. Shortly after this, Hezbollah started attacking Israel. Hezbollah is considered to be much more powerful than its ally Hamas. Its fighters have an estimated stockpile of 1,50,000 rockets and missiles. This includes missiles as well. Here the role of Iran becomes important, which supports extremists in Syria, Iraq and Yemen besides Hamas and Hezbollah. In such a situation, there is a possibility of their involvement in this widespread conflict. In fact, Hezbollah’s top commander has been killed in an attack by the Israeli army and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyya has been killed in a suspected Israeli attack in Iran. In such a situation, the feeling of hostility towards Israel has also increased. In view of this, the apprehension becomes strong that the ongoing Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip may turn into a regional conflict.
