Hardcore shooter accused of Sultanpur bullion robbery case killed in encounter, had a bounty of one lakh

An accused of bullion robbery case in Sultanpur, UP was killed in an encounter. In a joint operation of STF and Sultanpur police, Mangesh Yadav, a resident of Jaunpur, was killed in an encounter. Mangesh was a hardcore shooter criminal of Ayodhya, Prayagraj and Varanasi division. Mangesh, who had a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head, also played a key role in the robbery case. A 32 bore pistol, cartridges, a 315 bore pistol, bike and looted jewellery have been recovered from the spot.

On August 28, five criminals entered the shop in broad daylight and looted jewellery and cash worth crores at gunpoint. Revealing the incident on Tuesday, the SP said that a total of 15 criminals were caught in the incident. After the arrest of three criminals in the encounter, 11 criminals were absconding. On Thursday morning, the team of Deputy SP STF Dharmesh Shahi killed the accused Mangesh in an encounter on the side of the highway in Hanumanganj (Dehat Kotwali Sultanpur). Right now 10 criminals are absconding.

There is a bounty on these criminals

None of the criminals on whom reward has been announced is from Sultanpur. Most of the criminals are from Amethi and then Jaunpur, Pratapgarh, Azamgarh, Raebareli districts. The mastermind of the robbery, Vipin Singh son of Samendra Singh resident of Bhavaninagar police station Mohanganj Amethi is lodged in Raebareli jail. Police will take him on remand for interrogation. The criminals on whom the reward has been announced include Furkan alias Gujjar son of Mohd. Saif resident of Pure Chandai Chiloli police station Mohanganj district Amethi, Anuj Pratap Singh son of Dharmraj Singh resident of Janapur police station Mohanganj district Amethi, Arbaaz resident of Ashapur Ruru police station Mohanganj, Amethi, Vinay Shukla resident of village Sahmeu police station Mohanganj district Amethi, Mangesh Yadav alias Kumbhe son of Rakesh resident of Agaraura police station Baksa district Jaunpur, Ankit Yadav alias Shekhar resident of village Haripura police station Aspur Devsara district Pratapgarh, Ajay Yadav alias DM son of Babulal resident of Larpur police station Sigramau district Jaunpur, Arvind Yadav alias Fauji resident of village Chamradih police station Phulpur Azamgarh, Vivek Singh son of Samendra Singh resident of Bhawani Nagar police station Mohanganj district Amethi, Durgesh Pratap Singh son of Shatrughan Singh resident of house 1135 D Naya Purwa near fire station Raebareli and an unknown companion of Arbaaz.
