Candle march after the death of a female doctor
The Supreme Court is hearing the case of rape and murder of a female doctor in Kolkata, West Bengal. A trainee doctor was murdered during the night shift at RG Kar Medical College Hospital in Kolkata. The post-mortem also confirmed that the doctor was raped. After this incident, the hospital administration was accused of suppressing the case. The CBI is investigating this case and the doctors are on strike demanding their security. The Supreme Court has taken suo motu cognizance of this case.
