The CJI’s bench will hear the Kolkata RG Kar Hospital rape and murder case in the Supreme Court on Tuesday morning at 10:30. The CBI will file a status report in this entire case on Tuesday. Along with this, the Bengal government will also inform the court about the doctors’ strike. A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud will hear this case.
Bengal government will give information on safety measures for doctors
In the hearing to be held in the Supreme Court on Tuesday, the West Bengal government will give detailed information about the security measures for the protesting doctors and the facilities provided to the CISF personnel deployed in the hospital.
CBI will also present its side
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the rape and murder of a woman trainee doctor, will brief the Supreme Court on its probe, including the arrest of former hospital principal Sandip Ghosh and police inspector Abhijit Mandal. Both are accused of tampering with the crime scene, violating official procedures and misleading the investigation. Ghosh is already in CBI custody in connection with financial irregularities at the hospital.

Let us tell you that recently the Supreme Court had directed the West Bengal government to ensure the safety of doctors. This includes installing CCTV cameras, building toilets and making other necessary improvements. The state will have to report to the court about the steps taken for the safety of the medical staff.
