Heavy rain warning for three days in UP-Uttarakhand-MP
New Delhi: Intermittent rain has been continuing in Delhi-NCR for the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh for the next three days. For this, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert. At the same time, an orange alert for rain has been issued for Delhi, eastern Rajasthan, Chandigarh and eastern Madhya Pradesh.
Heavy rain likely in Uttarakhand for two days
According to the Meteorological Department, Uttarakhand may receive heavy rains till September 14. Bageshwar, Champawat, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar may receive heavy rains on Friday. Rains are occurring in the hilly areas of both Garhwal and Kumaon regions. There is a possibility of rain in Chamoli, Dehradun, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Champawat, Nainital.

Haryana is likely to receive light to moderate rain with heavy rainfall at some point of time till September 15. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is possible over eastern and western Uttar Pradesh during this period.
Schools and government offices closed on Friday in Madhya Pradesh
Heavy rains in several parts of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday claimed 11 lives, including seven in Datia, after a wall collapsed. Schools from nursery to class VIII in Gwalior, as well as offices, have been ordered to remain closed on Friday and Saturday.

Some parts of Delhi and NCR including India Gate, Janpath Road, RK Puram, Kalindi Kunj, Ghazipur, Indirapuram, Laxmi Nagar, Dwarka, Connaught Place, Noida, Safdarjung, Uttam Nagar, East of Kailash and Rohini received rain on Thursday. This rain may continue for the next 24 hours.
