Hezbollah is not Hamas, it can launch a big attack on Israel; what are its destructive weapons

Hezbollah has continued to amass a stockpile of rockets and missiles since its last conflict with Israel in 2006. A CNN report says Hezbollah has 120,000 rockets and 200,000 missiles.

Although there have been frequent clashes between Israel and Hezbollah in the areas adjacent to southern Lebanon since October 8 last year, but a bloody war has broken out between the two since last week. This has opened a new front of war, conflict and tension in the Middle East. Israel hacked the pagers and walkie-talkies of Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon for two consecutive days last week (17 and 18 September) and caused explosions in which 37 people were killed and thousands were injured. After this, Israel struck 1600 Hezbollah bases inside Lebanon, in which about 500 people were killed and thousands were injured.

After this incident, attacks from both sides have intensified. Today Hezbollah attacked the Israeli city of Tel Aviv with missiles but the Israeli army foiled it. The Israeli army has said in a statement that Hezbollah terrorists have fired about 300 rockets and missiles in northern Israel. This has increased the fear that the conflict in the area is going to increase in the coming days because Hezbollah has a stockpile of destructive weapons and it has the support of Iran, which has been providing it funds and weapons.

What weapons does Hezbollah have?

Hezbollah is probably the most heavily armed non-state group in the world, with more modern and destructive weapons than even Hamas. Yet the Israeli army is far more powerful. Hezbollah has continued to accumulate stockpiles of rockets and missiles since its last conflict with Israel in 2006. A CNN report says Hezbollah has 120,000 rockets and 200,000 missiles. The Middle East Al Monitor site says the group reportedly had about 15,000 rockets in 2006, while estimates from the past few years suggest that number has increased by about 10 times.

It can take the whole of Israel under its control

The report says that these include missiles with short range of 4 km to long range of 500 km. Hezbollah also has missiles with excellent capabilities like Fateh-110 and Scud which can hit the target accurately up to 310 miles away. According to CNN’s report, Hezbollah has missiles like Katyusa, Fajr-1, Falak-1, Falak-2, Shaheen-1, Type-81, Fajr-3, Fajr-5, Khyber-1, Jeizal-1, Jeizal-2 along with Fateh-110 and Scud B/C/D type missiles, whose range of range is between 4KM to 500KM. The total length of Israel from north to south is only 470 km, while the range of Scud is up to 500KM. That means Hezbollah can take the whole of Israel under its control. However, Israel has a famous security shield called Iron Dome.

Apart from this, Hezbollah also has drones named Shahid-129 with a range of 120 km to 2000 km. Hezbollah also has unmanned aerial vehicles including surveillance and attack drones. Apart from these, there are also portable air defense systems, which have a range of up to 6 kilometers. Hezbollah is also equipped with surface-to-air air missile systems. Hezbollah also has many anti-ship missiles, such as Yakhont, whose results have been quite effective. Apart from this, this group has thousands of modern anti-tank missiles, which also include Russian Kornet and Iran’s Al Mas system.
