Sunita Williams Crew 9: The SpaceX capsule Falcon 9 that brought Sunita Williams back from space has been parked at the International Space Station (ISS). Two astronauts have also reached there with this spacecraft. Both these passengers were given a warm welcome at the space station. This scene has been shown in the live streaming of the mission. It is seen that the astronauts present at the space station hugged Nick Hague and Alexander Gorbunov. Crew 9 will conduct a total of 200 scientific experiments on the ISS.

The Falcon 9 rocket took off from Cape Canaveral, Florida at 1:17 pm on Saturday. It reached the International Space Station at 5.30 pm on Sunday. After this, at around 7 o’clock, NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Alexander Gorbunov entered the International Space Station. Here both of them hugged the astronauts already present there. Seeing these two, the faces of the astronauts present there also lit up.

NASA Deputy Administrator Pam Melroy said that this is a very wonderful day. When Hague and Gorbunov return to Earth in February, they will bring Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams with them. Both of them had reached the space station this year on a journey of about eight days. But due to a malfunction in their spacecraft, both of them are now stuck there. The return of both of them is now going to happen in February 2025.

The Starliner that went to the International Space Station carrying Sunita and Wilmore was not found fit to return. After this the spacecraft returned to Earth without any crew members. After this, SpaceX’s Crew-9 mission was prepared to take both of them. However, the Crew-9 mission, which was scheduled to begin in mid-August, departed in late September. Now Hague and Gorbunov will stay in the ISS for about 5 months.
