Husband sets wife and others on fire by sprinkling petrol in Tamil Nadu, know what happened

Cuddalore (Tamil Nadu). On Wednesday, in a marital dispute in Selankuppam area of ​​Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu, a man set a relative’s house on fire by sprinkling petrol on his wife and others. In this arson, four people including a person, two children were killed while two others got scorched. Police gave this information. Inspector R. Balasubramaniam told reporters that the victims were identified as Sathguru, Tamilarasi (48), her eight-month-old baby girl and a two-year-old girl living in the neighbourhood.

According to the police, Dhanalakshmi had moved to her sister Tamilarasi’s place in Cuddalore a year ago after frequent quarrels with her husband Sathguru. On Wednesday, Sathguru arrived at Tamilarasi’s house with a can of petrol and poured the inflammable substance on everyone present there. He also sprinkled petrol on himself. After this, Sathguru lit the fire.

Police started investigation by registering a case
Tamilarasi, her child, Sathguru and another child died of burn injuries, while Dhanalakshmi and Prakash, a local resident, were admitted to the government hospital in Cuddalore with 50 per cent burns, police said. Cuddalore Old Town Police has registered a case and investigation is on.
