I am a helpless leader; Sanjay Nishad said- Ministers are not able to do their work in Yogi government, officers are directly connected to CMO

Sanjay Nishad, a minister in the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh, says that work is not done at the behest of ministers. He said that today most of the officers in the state work for development. But there are some who are always engaged in harming the society. Not only this, he said that even the ministers are not able to get any work done. Sanjay Nishad said that at the ground level, people consider the minister as the government. This used to happen earlier, but today nothing happens at the behest of ministers. I remember that during our youth, when Veer Bahadur Singh was the CM, he used to come to our house. People would write something on a torn paper and give it to him and that work would be done.

In an interview to Indian Express, Sanjay Nishad said that it was a tradition. Many times people of my community get angry when they are not able to get work done. I tell them that I will raise my voice with full force for your issues, but I also tell them that I am a helpless leader of the current system. On the notice of demolition of the house of a woman of Nishad community in Jaunpur, he said that she had come to me. This happened before the Lok Sabha elections. The officials implemented the law, but before that the family should have settled somewhere.

Then why no action was taken against the officers in this case. Why was this allowed to happen? It was election time, so I could not say anything. But after losing, I can say it. Sanjay Nishaj said that the officers are directly connected to the CMO. Postings and transfers happen from there. Earlier, the tradition was that if a minister wrote to the DM that an officer was not working, then he was immediately transferred. Then there was a fear of public representatives, who represented their area. But today we cannot do any work.

Now Yogi is taking cognizance and transferred IAS officers

However, Sanjay Nishad also said that CM Yogi Adityanath has now started taking cognizance of things. Recently, he had suspended an entire police post. Apart from this, about a dozen IAS officers were transferred. But there are still many such officers who are politically motivated. Such people spoil the vote bank.

Sanjay Nishad explains how the reservation narrative went against him

Nishad also said that NDA suffered a setback in the Lok Sabha elections due to the narrative of reservation. He said that the reason for this defeat was overconfidence. Nishad said that 15 crore people get free ration in UP. Reservation is a big issue here. In the state, Yadav, Dhobi, Pasi, Kurmi and Maurya castes have got good benefits of reservation. But castes like Kashyap, Kumhar, Pal, Kewat and Carpenter have not been able to take advantage of it. But they are easily deceived in the name of reservation. The same thing happened in the elections too, but BJP could not counter it.
