Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has made a big statement and said that he will work more for the welfare of Muslims than his father, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. For the first time, he has promised to work more than his father for the welfare of Muslims and also claimed that it was his father Rajasekhar Reddy who first implemented reservation for poor Muslims. Now he will go two steps ahead of his father and do better work for the poor Muslims.

Addressing a meeting, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy said that for the welfare of Muslims, if my father had taken one step, I will take two steps with pride. Let us tell you that Jagan Mohan Reddy gave this statement in the rally organized on the occasion of National Education Day. Let us tell you that November 11 is also celebrated as Minority Welfare Day in the southern state.

My father implemented reservation for poor Muslims

According to news agency PTI, he said that since the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) came to power in 2019, many major changes have been made in the Muslim community in matters like political, economic and women empowerment. The Chief Minister also claimed that his father was the first person who implemented reservation for poor Muslims in the country.

Jagan Mohan Reddy said that former Chief Minister Naidu did not make even a single Muslim leader a minister, whereas in his government he has appointed a Muslim leader as Deputy Chief Minister. During his address, the Chief Minister called for finding differences between his rule and that of the N Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
