I would have been more happy if… Kailash Gehlot remembered Manish Sisodia while presenting the budget
New Delhi. Delhi’s Finance Minister Kailash Gehlot presented the state’s budget of Rs 78,800 crore for the financial year 2023-24 in the assembly on Wednesday. The size of the state budget for 2022-23 was Rs 75,800 crore and Rs 69,000 crore in the previous financial year. After the resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Gehlot got the responsibility of the Finance Department. In his budget speech, he said, ‘I would have been more happy if Manish Sisodia had presented the budget, he is like my elder brother. This budget is an expression of the aspirations and expectations of the people.

Please tell that this is the ninth consecutive budget of the Aam Aadmi Party government.
Describing it as a budget dedicated to a clean, beautiful and modern Delhi, Gehlot said, “All possible help will be given to the MCD to remove three mountains of garbage in Delhi.” All colonies will be connected to sewage and the capacity of sewage treatment plants will be increased to clean the Yamuna river. The theme of this year’s Delhi budget is ‘Clean, beautiful and modern Delhi’. Since coming to power, the Aam Aadmi Party has been presenting theme-based budgets, the first budget was kept on the theme ‘Swaraj’.

While presenting the budget, Delhi government’s Finance Minister Kailash Gehlot said on Wednesday that taking a major step towards improving the infrastructure, the Delhi government has proposed to construct 26 new flyovers, bridges and underpasses and said that it will complete three more. Will also make a unique double decker flyover. Presenting the Budget 2023 on Wednesday, Finance Minister Gehlot said that financial assistance of Rs 8,241 crore will be given to the local bodies in the financial year 2023-24.
Presenting the budget on Wednesday, Finance Minister Kailash Gehlot said, “Under the Delhi government’s Mohalla-Bus scheme, electric-based mini-buses will ply on the roads of Delhi.” Delhi’s Finance Minister on Wednesday announced an allocation of around Rs 19,400 crore for the reconstruction of roads in the national capital over the coming 10 years.
