IAS Giridhar Aramane will be the next Defense Secretary of the country, will take over the post tomorrow, read who will take his place

New Defense Secretary: The next Defense Secretary of the country will be IAS Giridhar Aramane. He is taking charge from Tuesday (October 31). He is replacing Defense Secretary Ajay Kumar after his retirement. He also joined the Defense Ministry as the Officer on Special Duty during the Defense Expo-2022.

Giridhar Aramane is a 1988 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre. He has been on the post of Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Highways on 1 May 2020. Along with this, he was also on the post of Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas from 2012 to 2014.

What is Defense Expo-2022?

Defense Expo 2022 was organized by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) from 18 to 22 October 2022 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Indigenous weapons, defense equipment and techniques were showcased in this expo.
