Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad has once again targeted the Congress party using extremely objectionable language. In an inflammatory statement, he warned that he would bury any “Congress dog” who comes to his program. Earlier, Buldhana MLA Gaikwad had created a major political controversy by announcing a reward for anyone who cuts Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s tongue. On the same day, while talking to reporters, Gaikwad was heard saying in a video that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde would attend a program about the government’s ‘Mukhyamantri Ladki Behen Yojana’ for women in his district. Shinde is also the head of Shiv Sena.
Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad was heard saying, “If any Congress dog tries to enter my programme, I will bury it there.” The MLA had earlier said that a reward of Rs 11 lakh will be given to the person who cuts Rahul Gandhi’s tongue for his remarks on reservation.
When asked about the controversy, Gaikwad said, “I made the statement. If I have not apologised, why should the chief minister do so?…Out of the 140 crore people in the country, 50 per cent of the population gets reservation. I stand by my statement about the person who talked about removing reservation.”
Case filed against Rahul for his statements
Police registered a case against Gaikwad on Monday night for his remarks against Gandhi, the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha. During his recent visit to the US, Rahul Gandhi had said that the Congress party will think about ending reservation only when there is fairness in reservation in India and that is not the case right now.
