Neighboring country Pakistan is constantly facing terrorist attacks. On Monday (26 August), 50 people died in different terrorist attacks in Balochistan province. Even 14 policemen were killed in these attacks. Therefore, two arch rival countries China and America have decided to support Pakistan against these terrorist incidents. Both enemy countries have pledged to help and support Pakistan to combat terrorism. Let us tell you that relations between China and America have never been good and both countries have been considered enemies of each other from strategic and trade point of view.
Condemning the terrorist attacks in Balochistan province, Pakistan’s long-term regional ally China has not only expressed concern over the attacks but also assured Pakistan of all possible help, a Geo News report said. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said in a press briefing on Tuesday that Beijing strongly condemns the attacks in Pakistan and will continue to provide strong support to the country in anti-terrorism action.
Lin Jian said, “China stands firmly against all forms of terrorism. We will continue to provide firm support to Pakistan in its efforts to carry out counter-terrorism operations, maintain social cohesion and stability, and safeguard people’s safety.” The Chinese spokesperson promised to further enhance counter-terrorism and security cooperation with Pakistan and help ensure peace and security in the region.

The US has also expressed concern over the terrorist violence in Musakhail and other areas of Balochistan, given the gravity of the situation. The US Embassy in Islamabad wrote on its official X account, “Our condolences go out to the families and loved ones of those killed in yesterday’s attacks. The US will stand shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.”
Actually, Pakistan’s south-western province Balochistan is a region rich in many natural resources. Along with this, there are also gold and copper mines in this area, on which many Chinese projects are operating. Apart from this, there is a big port in this province, named Gwadar Port. It is a deep sea port located in Gwadar in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. This port is considered to be the main gateway of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project. Not only this, it is considered to be a link between the ambitious One Belt, One Road and Maritime Silk Road projects.
On the other hand, the US is working on a strategy to support Pakistan against terrorism to maintain regional balance and maintain its presence. The US and Pakistan also have defence and economic relations. The US does not want China to take advantage of its absence, so the US is ready to help Pakistan along with China on the pretext of curbing terrorism.
