Fear of Third World War: It has been more than 10 months since the war in Gaza and the war between Israel and Hamas has claimed 40 thousand lives in Gaza city alone. Even after the killing of thousands of innocent people, explosions and piles of dead bodies are found here every day. Many attempts were made to stop the ceasefire in Gaza but all of them failed. Israel and Hamas blame each other for this. Now America has recently put the world in panic by giving a statement that this is the last attempt to stop the war in Gaza, even after 40 thousand deaths, if the massacre in Gaza does not stop now, then it will be almost impossible to stop the Third World War.
US Secretary of State Blinken also met Israeli PM Netanyahu. America fears that Hezbollah and Iran are already angry with Israel and after such a horrific massacre in Gaza, they will be ready to do anything. Recent reports show that Hezbollah is preparing for a big war in the Middle East. It has posted promotional and propaganda videos of its caves and armed with weapons, warning Israel that if it does not stay in Gaza now, then no one can save Israel. On the other hand, Iran is also constantly threatening Israel.
Hezbollah became stronger than in 2006
Hezbollah officials say that if there is a war between them and Israel, they will inflict more damage on Israel than in the previous wars. Hezbollah calls this war a do or die situation. Iran also supports it in this war. Unlike 2006, this time Iran will openly support Hezbollah because after the murder of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, Iran is already eager to wreak havoc on Israel. A few days ago, Iran’s supreme leader Ali Ayatollah Khamenei had said in a statement that if they step back now, even Allah will not forgive them. Iran reiterated its vow that it is not quiet but is preparing for the biggest and deadliest attack on Israel till date.
Talking about the Lebanon War in 2006, this fight was stopped after 34 days of American mediation. On 12 July 2006, Hezbollah fighters fired rockets on Israeli soil. Three Israeli soldiers were killed in this attack. Two Israeli soldiers were captured and brought to Lebanon. Israel then unleashed air havoc on Lebanon and blood was shed on both sides for 34 days. In this war, about 1300 Lebanese people were killed and on the other side 165 Israelis died. In this war, Israel caused a lot of destruction in the Lebanese city. As a result of the conflict, 1 million Lebanese and 5 lakh Israelis had to suffer the pain of displacement.
New attempts for ceasefire in Gaza
America is now putting all its efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza. US Secretary of State Blinken met Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and urged him to reach an agreement with Hamas. America says that Israel is ready to have a ceasefire with Hamas on its own terms. America also called upon Hamas to agree to the agreement. However, Hamas alleges that Israel comes up with an agreement with new conditions every time so that a ceasefire does not happen. Meanwhile, its soldiers are continuously killing in Gaza.
On the new ceasefire agreement, Hamas has said that the ceasefire agreement should result in a permanent end to Israel’s war on Gaza. It has accused the US of “only buying Israel time to continue the genocide” by proposing a revised agreement.
