If we had turned the tractors towards Parliament on 26 January, the matter would have been resolved like in Bangladesh: Rakesh Tikait

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait, while talking about the coup in Bangladesh, warned of a similar situation in India. He said that the situation here is similar to Bangladesh. When asked about Bangladesh by the media, Rakesh Tikait said that those who were in power there for 15 years had put all the opposition leaders in jail. Now those people are in jail, where were they allowed to escape. The same situation will happen here now. They will not be found even if searched for. It was good that these people misled and people went to the Red Fort with tractors.

The BKU leader said that if on 26th January instead of Red Fort these people had turned the tractors towards Parliament then the work would have been done. That day lakhs of people were behind them. Rakesh Tikait said, ‘If these people had turned towards Parliament then everything would have been settled on that day. Now it will be settled. Now the public is ready. The public is ready for this.’ Not only this, he said that now we are ready. Just let this government do something wrong again. This time we will not make any mistake. We made a mistake during that time that we did not turn the tractors towards Parliament.

Rakesh Tikait raised questions even when there was nationwide protest against the rape and brutal murder of a doctor in Kolkata. Tikait said that rape and murder took place. A case has been registered against them. But what is the meaning of highlighting it in the whole country? Is this happening so that the government is toppled and President’s rule is imposed? This is its only purpose. If this continues, then the situation will be like Bangladesh. It will not be right to do this. This statement of Rakesh Tikait is also being criticized a lot on social media.
