This time the Thakur Bankebihari temple management in Vrindavan, Mathura has made a big appeal to the devotees. The management has said that devotees should not bring small children, elderly, disabled and patients to the temple on the occasion of Janmashtami and avoid being a part of the crowd. What did the temple management say?
The management of Bankebihari temple has asked people to assess the crowd before coming to Vrindavan and if the crowd is too much then it would be better to plan a visit on some other occasion. The temple management has told people the reason for this is that due to fasting during summer and not taking necessary medicines, elderly devotees and especially women often face health problems. The temple management has also said that people should visit the temple only after taking proper medicines and medical benefits.

Two years ago, there was a huge crowd at the Bihari Ji temple in Mathura during the Mangala Aarti held at the third quarter of the night. Due to this, two female devotees died due to breathing problems. Last Sunday also, an elderly devotee died of suffocation while leaving the temple.
Appeal not to come wearing shoes and slippers
The manager of Banke Bihari temple has said that the entry and exit doors of the temple are separate. In such a situation, devotees have been appealed not to come wearing shoes and slippers. This is because it will not be possible to reach there again to get shoes and slippers. Janmashtami is on 26 August at many places including Shri Krishna Janmasthan in Mathura, whereas Janmashtami is on the night of 27 August in Banke Bihari temple. (input language)
