Illegal construction of Sanjauli Mosque happened during BJP rule, Jairam Thakur also gave 12 lakhs; Sukhu’s minister made a big claim

State Cabinet Minister Anirudh Singh has made a new claim regarding the mosque dispute in Sanjauli, Shimla. He has said that illegal construction was done in the mosque during the Corona period. At that time there was a BJP government in the state and the Municipal Corporation was also occupied by the BJP Mayor. Singh claimed that former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur had given Rs 12 lakh to build this mosque. However, former CM and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has termed Singh’s allegations baseless.

Anirudh Singh also claimed that the previous BJP government had released another huge amount of lakhs of rupees for the disputed mosque. At that time, an amount of two lakhs was also given from the planning head. Anirudh Singh alleged that government money was used in the construction of an illegal mosque and asked for an investigation into it.

Anirudh Singh told journalists in Shimla on Thursday that BJP leaders were involved in the protest that took place in Sanjauli yesterday. Singh said that this was not a matter related to any religion, but was related to illegal construction. Action is being taken in this regard as per the law, but some people are trying to spoil the atmosphere by staging a sit-in protest in Sanjauli to shine their politics.

He said that today the Muslim community has set an example for the whole country. The community has written a letter to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner and requested to seal the illegal construction. The Muslim side has also said that they will demolish the illegal construction they have done. This is a commendable step. At the same time, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that he respects the decision of the Muslim side. He said that a committee is being formed in Shimla regarding the Tehbazaris.

Jairam Thakur denied the allegations

Former CM and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has termed the allegations leveled against him by Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh as baseless. The former CM issued a statement saying that the Congress minister wants to blame us for his failure by telling outright lies. He is scared of the displeasure of the Delhi high command and is changing his statement.

He said that after the statement given in the assembly, there is heavy pressure from the Congress high command on Anirudh Singh. The high command has given clear instructions to the Chief Minister to remove him from the post of minister. Sukhu government wants to do damage control by getting baseless statements from him. He said that Congress is adopting such tactics to hide its failure. The Chief Minister, the ministers of the government and the Congress party have all been completely exposed in the Sanjauli Masjid case.
