Nitin Gadkari News: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Friday that the biggest test of democracy is whether the ruler tolerates even the strongest opinion expressed against him. He introspects on this. The senior leader of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party at the Center was speaking at a book release function at MIT World Peace University here. He also asked writers and intellectuals to fearlessly put forward their views. Gadkari said that what is happening in politics these days has happened elsewhere as well. Someone has lost his identity. Differences of opinion are not a problem in our country, our problem is not having any opinion. The Union Minister said that we are neither right wing nor left wing, we are opportunists.

Nitin Gadkari said that writers, intellectuals and poets are expected to express their views openly and strongly. If there is any biggest test of democracy, then it is that if any idea is against the king, then the king should tolerate it and introspect on it. This is real democracy. Earlier on Sunday, on Engineers Day, Gadkari was present at a function in the College of Engineering Pune. Here he emphasized on transparency and setting a time limit for taking decisions. He said that if a knowledgeable person does not understand the spirit behind the law, then what is the use of it?

The Union Minister said that there is a lot of difference between the written letter and the spirit behind it. A knowledgeable person should understand the spirit behind the law. Sometimes the situation is such that even if potholes on the roads have to be filled, the boss’s order is needed. He said that I do not want to say much about him right now, but as soon as the money is in hand, the work starts. Gadkari said that we have ‘Newton’s father’ here. The more weight you put on the file, the faster the file moves. After this, he stressed on the need for transparency and timely decision-making process.

It is worth noting that last week Nitin Gadkari had made a big disclosure. He said that a leader had offered him the post of Prime Minister, which he had rejected. Gadkari said that becoming the Prime Minister was not the aim of his life. Addressing the media at the Late Anil Kumar Journalism Award Ceremony organized by Vidarbha Gaurav Pratishthan on Saturday, the Union Road Transport and Highways Minister said that he is determined. Along with this, he is loyal to the organization and will not compromise with it.

He said that I do not want to take anyone’s name, but one person told me that if you are going to become the Prime Minister then we will support you. I said, why should you support me and why should I take your support. Becoming the Prime Minister is not the aim of my life. I am not going to compromise for any post because my belief is most important for me. This is the biggest strength of Indian democracy.
