In Jharkhand, tracks were bombed, goods trains got stuck; Broken part fell 40 meters away

The MGR track laid to transport coal from Lalmatia in Godda, Jharkhand to NTPC in Farakka (West Bengal) was bombed by anti-social elements last Tuesday night near Ghututola in Ranga village of Barhet. Due to this, the operation of goods trains loading coal on this track has come to a standstill since early morning. This is the first time such an incident has happened in this area. No conspiracy can be ruled out in this incident.

Electric wire found near the track

During the investigation, the police have recovered some electric wires etc. from the spot. On the other hand, after receiving information about the incident, senior officials of Farakka NTPC besides Barhadwa SDPO have reached the spot. The matter is being investigated. According to night guard Govind Saav (Pachkathiya), there was a very loud noise at around 11.59 pm on Tuesday night. However, they felt that the tire of some truck etc. might have been blasted. After this incident, many goods trains carrying coal got stuck and their operations came to a standstill.

The broken part of the track fell about 40 meters away.

Later, early in the morning, Munshi Mittan informed him about this incident. After that, upon investigation it was found that someone had blown up the MGR track with a bomb. About 470 cm part of the track broke and fell about 39 meters away from the spot. It is clear that the bomb was powerful. After the information, coal transportation on this track has been stopped since morning. Till the time of sending the news, SP Amit Kumar Singh was said to have reached the spot.

NTPC Senior Assistant Engineer Sarwar Hussain, Junior Engineer Devyan Ismat, NTPC CISF Commandant Senthil Rajan, Barharwa SDPO Mangal Singh Jamuda, Rajmahal SDPO Vimal Kumar Tripathi, Station Incharge Pawan Kumar, sensor representative Parvez Alam reached the spot.
