In the program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, PM Modi congratulated the countrymen on Chhath, also mentioned these things

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is once again addressing the countrymen through ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program on Sunday (30 October). The program is being telecast on All India Radio and Doordarshan channels, as well as can be heard live on social media platforms. PM Modi started the Mann Ki Baat program by congratulating him on Chhath festival. He mentioned the importance of Chhath Puja and Surya Puja.

PM Modi said, “Today Chhath, the great festival of sun worship, is being celebrated in many parts of the country. Lakhs of devotees have reached their villages, their homes, their families to be a part of Chhath festival. I pray that Chhath Maiya blesses everyone with prosperity and welfare. The tradition of Surya worship is a proof of how deeply our culture, our faith, is connected with nature. Through this puja the importance of sunlight in our lives has been explained, along with the message that ups and downs are an integral part of life.

The Prime Minister further said, “The festival of Chhath is also an example of ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’. Today, wherever the people of Bihar and Purvanchal are in any corner of the country, Chhath is being celebrated with great pomp. Chhath is being organized on a large scale in different districts of Maharashtra including Delhi, Mumbai and many parts of Gujarat. Earlier, there was not that much Chhath Puja in Gujarat, but with time, the colors of Chhath Puja have started appearing in almost the whole of Gujarat. I am also very happy to see this. Nowadays we see, how many gorgeous pictures of Chhath Puja come from abroad too.
