A lot of records have been made and broken in the second test match of India vs Bangladesh test series. This was the first time in the history of Indian cricket, when Team India won a Test match, but did not face a single maiden over in the entire match. This is only the second such time in the history of Test cricket, when a team has won a Test match, but has not played a single maiden over during this period. This was the first time in 85 years. Earlier, this had happened in the Test match played between England and South Africa in 1939.

In the Test match played in Durban, England won by an innings and 13 runs. England declared their innings at 469 runs for four wickets in 88.5 overs and during this period they did not play even a single maiden over. Eddie Painter had scored 243 runs, while captain Wally Hammond had played an inning of 120 runs. Apart from India and England, there is no other team in the history of Test cricket which has won a Test match without playing a single maiden over.

India faced 34.4 overs in the first innings and 17.2 overs in the second innings. Not a single maiden over was bowled by Bangladesh in both the innings and thus Team India entered this unique club along with England. Bangladesh was all out for 233 runs in the first innings. India declared the first innings at 285 runs for 9 wickets. Bangladesh was all out for 146 runs in the second innings and India won the match by seven wickets by scoring 98 runs. The Indian team now has to play a three-match T20 International series against Bangladesh and then host New Zealand for a three-match Test series.
