India alliance meeting in Delhi today

Today is the fourth meeting of the opposition Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance i.e. INDIA alliance in Delhi. After Patna, Bengaluru and Mumbai, the caravan of alliance meetings has now reached National. Representatives of 21 opposition parties including Congress will attend the meeting. Prominent leaders including Mamata Banerjee, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Nitish Kumar and Akhilesh Yadav have reached Delhi. Seat sharing formula will be decided in today’s meeting.

Meeting after elections in five states

The meeting of opposition alliance INDIA is being held at Ashoka Hotel in Delhi regarding the strategy for Lok Sabha elections. The meeting of key leaders of the parties included in Alliance India is taking place at a time when the results of the recently held assembly elections of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram have come. In this, Congress had to be voted out of power in the Hindi speaking states of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, while BJP retained power in Madhya Pradesh. Whereas, Congress won in Telangana. These elections were being seen as semi-finals in view of the Lok Sabha elections to be held next year. In such a situation, this meeting of the opposition alliance is very important.

Many leaders including Mamta, Lalu, Nitish arrived

Apart from West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Uttar Pradesh CM and SP President Akhilesh Yadav, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to attend the meeting of opposition alliance INDIA. And former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has reached Delhi. On the Prime Ministerial candidate of the opposition alliance, TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee said that the decision will be taken after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He expressed confidence that the alliance will resolve all the issues including seat sharing. Mamta expressed hope that there can be an alliance of Congress, TMC and Left in West Bengal.

Discussion on many issues including seat distribution

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad claimed that ‘INDIA’ will oust Prime Minister Narendra Modi from power in the Lok Sabha elections next year. He said that to prevent division of votes, we will contest the elections on the formula of one seat, one candidate. He claimed that this time we will form the government at the Centre. Let us tell you that in the meeting of opposition alliance INDIA, many issues including seat sharing, joint public meetings and strategy making for the next Lok Sabha elections can be discussed.
