New Delhi: The Government of India will observe a day of state mourning on 11 September to commemorate the death of Queen Elizabeth of England.
India will join other Commonwealth countries in mourning the death of Britain’s longest-serving queen.
Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday afternoon, ending the longest reign ever by a British queen. She was 96 years old. Her reign as Queen of England lasted for more than 70 years.
Her eldest son Prince Charles will replace Queen Elizabeth.
