Indian Army changed Agniveer recruitment process, now entrance exam will have to be given, know new rules

New Delhi. The Indian Army has announced changes in the ‘Agniveer’ recruitment process, under which candidates aspiring to join the army will now have to first appear in the online Common Entrance Examination (CEE). After this, the candidates will have to undergo a physical fitness test and medical examination.

Advertisements regarding the change in procedure have been given by the Army in various newspapers. However, sources said on Saturday that a notification in this regard is expected to be issued by mid-February. The source said that the first online examination for the recruitment may be conducted in April at about 200 places across the country and all preparations have been finalized for this.

That’s why the rules changed
The source said that this change will reduce the huge crowd seen during recruitment rallies and it will be easier to manage and conduct recruitment.

He said, “For the Agniveer recruitment process, the candidates first had to undergo a physical fitness test, followed by a medical examination and appearing for the CEE was the last step. But, now the online exam is the first phase.

Let us tell you that in January itself, the training of the first batch of 2600 Agniveers has started at the Artillery Training Center located near Nashik in Maharashtra. These Agniveers will get a chance to serve in the Indian Army as gunners, technical assistants, radio operators and drivers.

The training of these Agniveers will be of 31 weeks, in which basic training will be given for 10 weeks and advanced training will be for 21 weeks.
