India’s first biofertilizer started in Punjab, know its benefits
Chandigarh. The first biofertilizer lab has been started in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. In such a situation, Punjab has become the first state in the country where this type of lab has been started. For the betterment of the farmers, the latest techniques of horticulture are being disseminated to the farmers by the government headed by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann. In such a situation, this lab will work to reduce the expenses of the farmers towards chemical fertilizers in the state and save the earth from getting contaminated with these chemicals.
This laboratory has been prepared at a cost of Rs 2.50 crore under the National Agricultural Science Scheme. Punjab minister Chetan Singh Jodamajra informed that in this laboratory, 10 types of organic fertilizers (such as Azotobacter carrier based, PSB carrier based, Azotobacter liquid formulation, PSB liquid formulation, potassium soluble) are manufactured in this laboratory through MoU with Government of India organization ICAR-IARI. Bacteria, (KSB) Liquid Formulation, Zinc Soluble Bacteria (ZSB) Liquid Formulation, NPK, M Fungi, IARI Compost Inoculant, Trichoderma Virdi) will be prepared.
These fertilizers will be available to the farmers at low prices and will be available in every district. Along with this, necessary technology for farming will also be provided. By using organic fertilizers prepared from this state-of-the-art laboratory, the use of chemical fertilizers can be reduced by 15-20 percent, which will directly increase the income of the farmer or landlord. The state of Punjab has become the first state in India, on whose behalf this state-of-the-art Biofertilizer Laboratory has been established to protect the soil, water and air of the state from contamination and to increase the income of the farmers.
