Interpol General Assembly in India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 90th Interpol General Assembly on Tuesday (October 18) at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. After this, PM Modi will address the representatives of 195 countries participating in this General Assembly.
Pakistani representative will also be present in the program. Interpol General Assembly is being held in India after 25 years. This General Assembly will run from 18 to 21 October. In the program, the functioning of Interpol will be reviewed and many important issues including future criminal challenges, strategy to crack down on international gangs will be discussed. This General Assembly is organized once in a year.

According to the information, PM Modi will address the General Assembly at 1:45 pm. During this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Interpol President Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi and its General Secretary Jurgen Stock will also be present there. Interpol General Assembly is being organized on the occasion of 75th anniversary of independence in India. Before this, the last event in India was held in 1997.

The International Criminal Police Organization is commonly known as Interpol. This organization connects police networks around the world and facilitates mutual cooperation and crime control. There are 195 countries connected to Interpol. Its headquarter is in Lyon, France.
It was established on 7 September 1923 in Vienna, Austria. All the countries associated with it send their skilled police officers on deputation to Interpol. The authorities investigate or curb such crime or criminal whose roots are spread in different countries.
In this meeting of Interpol, not only the discussion on narco-terrorism, drug syndicate, cyber crime, locations of notorious gangsters and criminals and crime patterns related to fraud. Rather, efforts will be made to reach an agreement on sharing inputs with each other. India is seeing this event as a good opportunity because through this the world can be made aware of the law and order system of the country.
Advisory of Delhi Traffic Police
In the wake of the Interpol Mahasabha, the traffic police of Delhi has issued an advisory, which states that delegates attending the Mahasabha will be in seven hotels – The Lalit, The Imperial, Shangri La, Le Meridien, The Oberoi, Hyatt Regency and The Ashoka. They will stay and will have to travel to Pragati Maidan, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and airport. Various traffic related measures have been taken for the convenience of the representatives, due to which people may have to face difficulties in commuting.
