To become an IPS officer, the general category men should have a minimum height of 165 cm. If the male candidate belongs to SC, ST or OBC category, then his height should be at least 160 cm. While the length of women of general category should be at least 150 cm and the length of women of SC, ST and OBC category should be 145 cm. Talking about the eyesight, it is necessary for the candidates of all categories to have eyesight of 6/6 or 6/9. Weak eye vision should be 6/12 or 6/9.
To become an IPS, the chest of male candidates should be 84 cm. Whereas the chest of women should be 79 cm. The chest of both men and women should expand at least 5 cm.
