Iron man missing in Rajasthan government’s advertisement: PM Modi said – Congress associated with Sardar Patel, who first united the country

Tharad / Banaskantha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at the Congress for the absence of Sardar Patel’s picture in the advertisements issued by the Rajasthan government. On Monday, PM Modi advised Congress leaders to join the great freedom fighter who kept India united. The Prime Minister’s attack on the Congress comes at a time when its leader Rahul Gandhi is on a ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is campaigning in this western state. In the hands of Gehlot, the Congress is in command of the election strategy in Gujarat.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘Congress has given full pages of advertisements in at least two major newspapers of the state. Today is the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. He has not put a single picture of Sardar Patel in these advertisements. He was a big leader of the country and Congress and was the Deputy Prime Minister in the government led by Jawaharlal Nehru. The prime minister was addressing a rally here after laying the foundation stone for several projects, including the Kasara-Dantiwada pipeline from the main Narmada canal, where water supply-related projects worth over Rs 8000 crore were launched.

Modi said – join Sardar Patel, who first united the country
Referring to the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, Modi said, ‘They want to unite the country. First join Sardar Patel, who has united the country. This is an insult to Sardar Patel. The people of Gujarat will not tolerate this humiliation. The Congress-ruled Rajasthan government had given advertisements in Gujarati newspapers here on Monday, touting its achievements.

Gehlot was targeted for his opposition to the Sujalam Sufalam canal plan
Modi also targeted Gehlot for opposing the Sujalam Sufalam canal plan on the occasion. He said, ‘When I was the ‘Chief Minister of Gujarat’, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan was also the same as he is today. He wrote me a letter opposing the Sujalam Sufalam canal scheme, but I told him to do whatever you want, but this project will go ahead as it will benefit the people of North Gujarat.

Multiple projects announced
The projects for which the foundation stone was laid, including the Kasara Dantiwada pipeline from the main Narmada canal. 1560 crores will be spent on them. According to officials, this project will increase the water supply and will prove beneficial for the farmers of the area. During the program, the Prime Minister announced several other projects, including strengthening of Sujalam Sufalam canal, extension of Modhera-Moti Dau pipeline to Mukteshwar Dam-Karmavat Lake, lift irrigation scheme for 11 villages of Santalpur taluka, etc.
