Is Sunita Williams trapped in space going to run out of food and oxygen? Answer found

Sunita Williams News: Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore, who went into space in June this year, will now be able to return to Earth in February next year. Their return has been delayed due to a glitch in the Boeing Starliner capsule. In this mission, both astronauts will return to Earth via Elon Musk’s SpaceX, while the Starliner capsule that went to the space station will return without passengers. Ever since the news of Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore being stuck in space came out, people around the world were worried. Questions began to arise as to how long the two would have to stay in space.

Now the return will be in February, what about food and oxygen supply?

Amid Sunita and Barry’s return in February, people are wondering whether the two have sufficient food and oxygen supply. Actually, both went for just a week in June, but now they will have to spend a long time in the space station. Meanwhile, the US space agency NASA has answered these questions. NASA has assured that the supply of both food and oxygen remains intact on the International Space Station (ISS). Even after staying for a long time on the space station, both the astronauts have adequate food and other essential items available. NASA officials have stressed that there is no immediate danger of the astronauts running out of food or oxygen, and they are closely monitoring every situation.

There was a helium leak in Starliner

US space agency NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said in a briefing on Saturday, “NASA has decided that astronauts Barry ‘Butch’ Wilmore and Sunita ‘Suni’ Williams will return with Crew-9 next February, and Starliner will return without a crew.” The exact time of the spacecraft’s return to Earth has not been decided yet. Starliner was launched on June 5 with two crew members, but during its flight to the ISS, five of its 28 thrusters failed at different times and five helium leaks were also recorded. NASA officials acknowledged that the spacecraft’s return flight was originally scheduled for June 14, but since then it has been repeatedly delayed due to technical problems. It has been decided to call back the astronauts after all efforts by engineers on Earth to solve the problems were unsuccessful.
