Former MLA and strongman leader Anant Singh, who was lodged in Beur jail for a long time, was released on the orders of Patna High Court. On Friday, at 5:10 am, the jail administration took him out of the ambulance where his supporters and workers, who were already present there, welcomed him with great pomp. The lower court of Patna had sentenced him to ten years of imprisonment when AK 47 and bullet proof jacket were recovered from his house. Due to this, he also lost his MLA status. He spoke to media persons outside Beur jail in Patna.
As soon as Anant Singh came out of the jail, media persons surrounded him. On one side the workers were eager to welcome him and on the other side there was a competition to get his first reaction. Meanwhile when he was asked how he was feeling now he answered the question openly. Anant Singh said that he was feeling very good after coming out of the jail. He said that he already had faith in the High Court. When he was asked whether he got justice he said that you people are also seeing that he has come out. He was confident that one day he would certainly get justice. He got it. When he was asked whether he believed that he was framed, he did not answer this.
Anant Singh released from jail, son Ankit welcomed him, left for the village
Anant Singh was garlanded by his supporters after he came out of the jail. However, no one raised any slogans. Anant Singh’s son Ankit Singh was also standing at the gate of Beur jail since early morning to welcome his father. Ankit Singh welcomed his father by garlanding him and also took his blessings. While talking to journalists, he said that this day is a day of great happiness for him. He said that there was a hope from before that our family will get justice from the High Court and that day has come today.

After coming out of jail, Anant Singh left for his native village Ladma instead of staying in Patna. There was a pre-scheduled program of worship at Maharani Sthan. A convoy of vehicles of his supporters left with him. As per the pre-scheduled program, Anant Singh will stay in his area the whole day today. It is being told that after worshiping his Kuldevta, Anant Singh, popularly known as Chhote Sarkar, will meet his supporters and the people of the area.

Anant Singh’s political journey started in the year 2005. For the first time, he became an MLA by winning the assembly elections from Mokama on JDU ticket. After that, he won the assembly elections from Mokama twice in 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020 consecutively. When he went to jail after being convicted in the AK 47 case, Anant Singh’s wife Neelam Devi contested in the by-election held in 2022 and became an MLA. Then RJD gave her a ticket. However, during Nitish Kumar’s confidence motion this year, Neelam Devi left RJD and supported JDU. Earlier during the Lok Sabha elections, Anant Singh came out on parole. After being acquitted by the High Court, Anant Singh has come out of Beur Jail. Now there is no case pending against him.
