There has been a ruckus ever since the first list of 67 BJP candidates for the Haryana assembly elections was released. About a dozen rebel leaders of the party are preparing to contest the elections, while there are many leaders who can change sides. One of these leaders is Karan Dev Kamboj, who has resigned from the party. Kamboj was seeking a ticket from Yamunanagar’s Radaur assembly seat. But he is angry after being denied and has resigned from the post of state president of OBC Morcha. His influence is also felt in Karnal.
Now he has returned after meeting Bhupinder Singh Hooda in Delhi and there is talk that he can decide on this on 10th September. Manohar Lal Khattar kept getting elected as MLA from here and became CM. Then after him, the current CM Nayab Singh Saini is also an MLA from here. It is reported that Bhupinder Singh Hooda has offered Karan Dev Kamboj some important responsibility if the government is formed. He has asked for a ticket from Congress from Indri seat. But Congress is not in the mood for this because Rakesh Kamboj’s name has already been decided from there.
In such a situation, BJP has been considering it safe, but the leadership is tense due to rebellion here too. This is the reason why Manohar Lal Khattar himself has now come into the role of damage control. Manohar Lal Khattar reached Karnal on Sunday and also went to the house of former mayor Renu Bala. CM Naib Singh Saini also spoke to Renu Bala later. Renu Bala has opposed the fielding of Jagmohan Anand from Karnal assembly seat. Even after this, the situation is such that Renu Bala, her husband Braj Gupta and their supporters clearly said that we are firm on our stand. On Khattar’s request, these people said that we will tell the final decision on September 10.
Renu Bala Gupta said that we have told our point to Khattar ji. We will organize a program with supporters on September 10 and then further decision will be taken. She said that we have contributed in making everyone from Manohar Lal Khattar to Nayab Singh Saini win. In such a situation, it hurts to ignore our opinion now. Similarly, former Karnal district president Ashok Sukhija is also upset. He says that the party leadership did not take any opinion. He was the most senior among the contenders from this seat, but the party ignored him. Along with this, rebellious voices are increasing rapidly in Karnal BJP.
