‘It smelled like a dead rat, had only seen it on TV..’, reveals neighbor
New Delhi. In the case of the murder of live-in partner Saraswati Vaidya in Mira Road area of Mumbai, neighbors are also coming forward openly. Neighbors say that the arrested accused Manoj Sen was very reserved and did not talk to anyone in the neighborhood. Somesh Srivastava, who lives in Manoj’s neighborhood in J-Wing of Geeta Akashdeep Cooperative Society, told openly about the incident. He says that despite the continuous stench, Manoj was not opening the door of the house even after knocking. The sounds of cutter were continuously coming from inside the flat.
In connection with the murder of live-in partner Saraswati Vaidya, the police arrested Manoj and produced him in Thane district court, from where he has been sent to police custody till June 16. Manoj and Saraswati were living together on the seventh floor of the society for the last three years. Manoj’s flat was stinking since Monday itself. When Manoj was asked by the neighbors about the smell coming from inside the house, he ran away. During a conversation with NDTV, Manoj’s neighbor Somesh Srivastava said, “I knocked on the door of his house when it smelled bad, but no one opened it. I heard the sound of some spray after which Manoj Sen came out. He told me that he was going out for some work and immediately left. After this the management of the building was informed about it. Then the police was informed about the incident.
