Jharkhand High Court takes suo motu cognizance in the gang rape case of Spanish woman – India TV Hindi

Dumka: Jharkhand High Court has taken suo motu cognizance of the gang rape case of a Spanish woman in Dumka, Jharkhand. The court has ordered the state DGP, Chief Secretary and Dumka Superintendent of Police (SP) to appear in this case. Along with this, an order has also been given to file a report in this matter. In this case, suo motu cognizance has been given by Acting Chief Justice Chandrashekhar and Justice Navneet Kumar.

The next hearing in this case will be on March 7. On the same day, DGP, Chief Secretary and SP of Dumka have to appear in the court. Earlier, the District Legal Services Authority gave a compensation check of Rs 10 to the gang rape victim. Many officials including SP and DC of the district were present on this occasion. Along with this, a Spanish journalist was also present on the spot.

The couple had reached Dumka in Jharkhand via Bangladesh.

In the complaint given to the police, the woman told that she and her husband had reached Dumka in Jharkhand via Bangladesh. When night fell, she was resting with her husband in a tent in a field when the incident took place. The woman told that both the husband and wife were in the tent around 7 pm on Friday, when a sound was heard from outside. Saw that two people were talking on the phone. We thought this was normal. But after this other people also came there.

Raped by 7 people

The victim woman told that after some time after calling those two people, 5 people came on 2 bikes. Everyone entered the tent. During this time, three people caught my husband, tied his hands and beat him. During this time four people brought me out of the tent. They beat me up and raped me one by one. The woman told that this incident took place between 7 pm to 10 pm and all the accused were intoxicated.

The accused also looted

Not only this, the accused also raped and assaulted the woman and then robbed her. In the complaint given to the police, the woman said that after committing the crime, the accused looted her husband’s smartwatch, diamond ring, purse, Bluetooth device, Spain Bank credit card, Bangladeshi coins, 11 thousand Indian rupees and 300 US dollars. .
