Just Rs 208 in account; Is poverty the reason for the death of Hiralal, who was found dead with 4 daughters?

The postmortem report of the decomposed bodies of a father and his four disabled daughters found in a rented house in Rangpuri, Delhi has arrived. Police said the deceased man had only Rs 200 in his bank account.

The postmortem report of the decomposed bodies of a father and his four disabled daughters found in a rented house in Rangpuri, Delhi has come. The police were initially considering the incident as a mass suicide. However, now the postmortem report states that everyone had different times of death, pesticide poison and marks were found on the father’s body. On the other hand, the police said that the deceased person had only Rs 200 in his bank account, hence prima facie it seems to be a case of suicide or murder-suicide due to financial constraints.

Let us tell you that last Friday, the bodies of 46-year-old Hiralal, who worked as a carpenter in Rangpuri, and his four disabled daughters were found in their house. A few days after this incident, now the police, citing the postmortem report, has said that it has been found that he was poisoned.

DCP (South West) Rohit Meena said, “The postmortem was conducted on Tuesday. The exact cause of death will be known after the viscera report. “However, prima facie the postmortem report has found evidence of suspected poisoning.”

Only Rs 208 were lying in the bank account

An investigator, who did not wish to be named, said a check of the man’s bank account revealed that he had only Rs 208 in his account since April. “This does not mean that he had no money at all,” the officer said. There was ration in the house and the person had also bought sweets on the day of the incident, but the bank account details point towards financial crisis.”

Police said that the neighbors of the deceased had informed them about the foul smell coming from the flat located on the third floor. On reaching the spot, the windows and internal doors of the house were found open.

Senior police officers, who initially suspected mass suicide in this incident, are now also investigating the murder-suicide angle. Police said they found razor blades and ‘marks’ on the body of the girls’ father, leading them to believe that the father had given his daughters sweets and juice laced with pesticide powder.

Suspicious liquid was also found in a glass near the dead bodies.

In a CCTV footage of September 24, the girls’ father is seen returning home carrying a box of sweets with him. Police said that the same sweets were found lying near the kitchen and room. DCP Meena said that they also found suspicious liquid in a glass near the dead bodies of the girls.

A senior police officer, on condition of anonymity, said that we cannot say that it was suicide. There is evidence that shows marks on the father’s body. It is likely that the daughters were murdered and then the father killed himself. The timing of deaths also varies and there is a lag. If they had all consumed poison, they would all have died within minutes of each other.
