Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s husband and businessman Robert Vadra has criticized BJP MP Kangana Ranaut’s remarks on the farmers’ protest. Not only this, Robert Vadra also strongly objected to Kangana Ranaut’s presence in Parliament. Ranaut recently posted a clip of the interview in which she alleged that corpses were hanging and rapes were taking place during the farmers’ protest against the repealed agricultural laws. Kangana’s statement was criticized by many people.
Robert Vadra said that “Kangana has no right to be in Parliament.” He questioned Kangana’s educational qualifications and claimed that she prioritizes her own interests over public welfare. He said, “Kangana should also think about women.” Vadra said that women’s safety and representation are important.
Speaking to the media in Telangana capital Hyderabad, Vadra said, “Nowadays we need to be concerned about women, about their safety. Whatever is happening with women is wrong. I request all the men in my country to think about women’s safety…I would say they (BJP) should not do politics and should think about women and all their women ministers should come forward for women.”
Robert Vadra further said, “The less we say about Kangana Ranaut the better. She is a woman. I respect her but I think she has no place in Parliament. She is not educated and there is no reason for her to be in Parliament. In my opinion, she does not think about people, she only thinks about herself. But she should think about women.”
