Kangana Ranaut met JP Nadda for the second time after controversial statement on farmers’ protest

Kangana Ranaut, who was surrounded by controversial remarks on the farmers’ movement, met BJP President JP Nadda today. She reached his residence for a meeting. Kangana Ranaut was recently advised by the top leadership that she has no right to speak on policy matters. Apart from this, she was also instructed not to make any such statement in future. Not only this, the BJP completely distanced itself from her statement. This stance of the party was seen as an advice to Kangana Ranaut to stay within limits.

Importantly, this is the second time Ranaut has met the BJP president after a controversy erupted over her remarks. She had sparked controversy earlier this week with an alleged derogatory remark on the farmers’ agitation against the three repealed agricultural laws. Kangana had said in an interview that in the name of the farmers’ movement in Punjab, miscreants were spreading violence and rapes and murders were taking place there. She also shared a clip of this interview on ‘X’. In this, she had said that if the country’s leadership was not strong, a ‘Bangladesh-like situation’ could have arisen in India too.

She also claimed that during the farmers’ protest, ‘bodies were hanging and rapes were taking place’. She accused China and America of being involved in the ‘conspiracy’. After the controversy over her remarks, the BJP distanced itself from Ranaut’s statement, expressing disagreement with it. The party also instructed the Mandi MP not to make such statements in future. After this, the Congress took an aggressive stance and asked the ruling party to expel Ranaut from the party if it really disagreed with her views.
