Kangana said- My voice cannot be suppressed with rape threats, Mann asked to respond within 5 days

BJP MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh and actress Kangana Ranaut is under attack from her opponents over her upcoming film ‘Emergency’ and her alleged statement against the agitating farmers. Meanwhile, she has said in an interview that no one can suppress her voice by giving rape threats. In an interview to news agency IANS, Kangana said, “Some people have pointed guns at our heads but we are not going to be scared of guns. Today I am also receiving rape threats. In a way, they are threatening rape but they cannot suppress my voice with such threats.”

Kangana’s reaction comes after the objectionable remarks of former Punjab MP and Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann. Mann had allegedly said that the actress has a lot of experience of rape. On Thursday, when 79-year-old Mann was asked to react to MP Ranaut’s remarks in Karnal, he made objectionable remarks by mentioning ‘rape’. Mann is a former IPS officer and had come to Karnal to attend an event.

Meanwhile, the Haryana State Women’s Commission has expressed displeasure over the indecent remarks against Kangana Ranaut and has sent a summon to former MP Simranjit Singh Mann. The commission has asked Mann to publicly apologize and give an explanation within five days. Mann had said in a conversation with journalists that Kangana has a lot of experience of “rape”. You can ask her (Kangana) how rape happens so that people can be explained how rape happens. She has a lot of experience of rape.

Mann was asked questions on Kangana’s reaction in which she had said that in the name of farmers’ movement, miscreants were spreading violence in Punjab and rapes and murders were taking place there. Let us tell you that Ranaut had recently created a controversy with her comments on the farmers’ movement. She had alleged that dead bodies were hanging and rapes were taking place during the farmers’ protest against the repealed agricultural laws.

Kangana had also said that if the country’s leadership was not strong today, a situation like Bangladesh could have arisen in India too. She also shared that interview on social media. However, the BJP has distanced itself from Kangana’s statement on the farmers’ movement. After this, on Thursday, Kangana met BJP national president JP Nadda at his house in New Delhi.
