Chitradurga. Karnataka’s Chitradurga Police has filed a 694-page charge sheet against Murugha Mutt chief saint Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru in the district court. A case has been registered against Sharanaru for sexually harassing minor girls. Police have filed a chargesheet in the Additional District and Sessions Court against Lingayat Sant, the hostel warden and another person.
Sharanaru was sent to judicial custody for 14 days after two girls lodged a complaint in Mysore with the help of an NGO ‘Odanadi Seva Sansthan’ and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) on September 1. ) was arrested on charges of rape under the Act.

The girls living in the hostel of the ashram had alleged that Sharnaru had sexually harassed them. So far, three FIRs have been registered against Sharnaru. In the third FIR, six people including Sharanaru and the hostel warden have been made accused. However, Swamy says that he is being implicated under a conspiracy. There is a hand of some insider behind this.
