KCR put an end to speculation, announced to form a national party for Lok Sabha elections

Hyderabad. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President and Chief Minister K. Putting to rest all speculations, Chandrashekhar Rao said on Sunday that he would form a national party after holding more discussions with different sections of the society.

The TRS said it is trying to provide a national alternative to the influential Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress trying to return to power at the Center and will continue to hold discussions with various stakeholders on an “alternative national agenda”. Consensus will be reached.

Chandrashekhar Rao made it clear that the party would be formed and policies would be formulated after further discussions with intellectuals, economists and experts from various fields.

Earlier in the day, former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy met Rao in Hyderabad and the two leaders discussed the proposed party’s outline. An official communique issued from the office of the WK said that the discussions with different sections of the society were taken as an initiative taken before launching the movement for the formation of a separate Telangana state. “Very soon, a national party will be formed and its policies will be formulated,” the release said.

The names that are being discussed for this proposed national party of KCR include ‘Bharat Rashtriya Samiti’, ‘Ujwal Bharat Party’ and ‘Naya Bharat Party’.
