Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal approached the Supreme Court after facing a setback in the Delhi High Court.
An important hearing is going to be held in the Supreme Court today on the bail plea of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal has challenged his arrest by the CBI and has sought relief from the country’s top court, on which a bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Ujjwal Bhuiyan is going to hear. The national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party has already got bail in the ED case. If the court grants bail in the CBI case, he will be able to come out of jail.
Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, BRS leader K Kavitha, AAP’s communication in-charge Vijay Nair, who were arrested in the alleged liquor scam, have got bail. All these leaders have been given relief by the Supreme Court.
