Khalistan supporters took out a tableau in Canada, honored the killer of former CM Beant Singh

In Canada, pro-Khalistan extremists took out processions in support of a murderer. Through this, tribute was paid to the suicide bomber responsible for the murder of the then Chief Minister of Punjab Beant Singh in 1995. This procession was taken out near the Indian Consulate in Vancouver on Saturday, which included the blood-soaked bomb blast car along with the pictures of the late CM. During this, it was written on the pictures, ‘Beant was killed’. Along with this, tribute was paid to the suicide bomber and his murderer Dilawar Singh Babbar. It is known that this murder took place 29 years ago on 31 August 1995.

A similar rally was also taken out in Toronto, which was led by Inderjit Singh Gosal. He described the campaigners of the Khalistan referendum as the children of Dilawar Singh. Gosal is one of the main organizers of the referendum. He is also said to be an associate of Gurpatwant Pannu, the general counsel of Sikhs for Justice. There was a threat warning to his life from Canadian law enforcement in early August. This alert was issued by the Ontario Provincial Police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Gosal is also said to be close to Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was murdered in Surrey, British Columbia on June 18 last year.

A rally was taken out in support of the assassination of Indira Gandhi

On June 9 this year, Khalistan supporters took out a tableau in Brampton, Greater Toronto Area, which displayed an effigy of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Indira was shot dead by her bodyguards. Posters were put up at the rally which said that Indira was punished on 31 October 1984. This is the date of her assassination. The parade marked the 40th anniversary of Operation Bluestar, when the Indian Army surrounded the Golden Temple complex in Amritsar. Khalistani extremists and their leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale had captured the temple complex with weapons. On this tableau, Canada’s Public Security Minister Dominic LeBlanc posted on X and said, ‘Promoting violence is not acceptable in Canada.’
