Kolkata rape and murder case: Former principal Sandip Ghosh questioned by CBI for nearly 13 hours – Hindustan News Hub

Kolkata: CBI interrogated former principal of RG Kar Hospital Sandeep Ghosh for about 13 hours on Saturday. He has left the CBI office. Sandeep Ghosh was also interrogated for about 15 hours on Friday. CBI has called Sandeep Ghosh again for questioning on Sunday. Sandeep has been asked to appear before CBI at 11 am.

Health services paralysed in West Bengal

Doctors in almost all hospitals of West Bengal protested on Saturday against the rape and murder of a trainee doctor, due to which health services were affected in the entire state. Many junior doctors had started a strike eight days ago in protest against the incident. Senior doctors also joined the 24-hour nationwide strike on the call of IMA. Due to this, OPD services of both government and private hospitals were affected.

It is noteworthy that the body of the trainee doctor was found in the seminar room of RG Kar Hospital on August 9. The police arrested an accused in this connection the next day. The agency took the former principal of the hospital with them for questioning on Friday and he was questioned till 1.40 am late night.

Accused Sanjay Roy will undergo psychological test

If CBI sources are to be believed in this case, then CBI’s CFSL team has reached Kolkata to conduct psychological test of the arrested accused Sanjay Roy, so that the mental state of the accused can be understood.

IMA wrote a letter to PM Modi

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi demanding protection for doctors. On the other hand, after the intervention of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the transfer of 43 doctors has been stopped. Many questions were being raised regarding this transfer. On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party had accused the Mamata Banerjee government regarding this transfer and said that the Mamata Banerjee government has transferred 43 doctors who were demanding justice.

There will be no doctors’ strike in RML today
