Kolkata: New revelations are being made every day in the investigation of the case of brutality with a female trainee doctor in RG Kar Medical College. On one hand, the DNA of Sanjay Roy, accused of raping and murdering the doctor, has matched with the DNA of the deceased doctor, but after this, the main accused of the murder, Sanjay Roy, has said during the polygraph test that I am innocent, I have not committed rape or murder. He has claimed during the polygraph test that the doctor had already been murdered and I had gone there but after seeing her dead body, I ran away from the spot.
Sanjay’s DNA matched with the doctor’s DNA
According to a report by India Today, in the initial investigation by Kolkata Police and CBI, Sanjay Roy, accused of murdering the trainee doctor, confessed to the crime after being arrested on August 10, a day after the incident. After the murder, he washed the blood from his clothes and shoes and went to sleep. He had said, yes, hang me. However, recently Sanjay Roy took a U-turn from his statement and claimed that he was being framed and he was innocent.
The court does not consider the polygraph report as evidence
Let us tell you that CBI has arrested the prime accused of murder Sanjay Roy and sent him to Presidency Jail where his polygraph test was conducted on 25th August, in which these things have come to light. However, the court does not accept the polygraph report as evidence in any case. According to sources, CBI had asked Sanjay Roy 10 questions during the polygraph test. During Sanjay Roy’s polygraph test, three polygraph experts were also present along with the CBI investigation officers. Accused Sanjay Roy’s lawyer Kavita Sarkar told India Today, “CBI has not been able to present conclusive evidence till now. Let them investigate and prove the crime.”
Sanjay Roy was arrested within 24 hours of the rape and murder
Sources said Sanjay Roy told the CBI during a polygraph test, “I did not kill the doctor. She was already dead and I fled from the seminar hall after seeing the body.” Sanjay Roy was arrested within 24 hours of the incident by Kolkata Police after CCTV footage was found in which he was seen entering the seminar hall of the hospital where the doctor’s body was found. A Bluetooth device belonging to Roy was also found near the doctor’s body.
