Kovid-19 update: 734 new cases surfaced in 24 hours, now there are 12,307 active cases left

New Delhi: With the arrival of 734 new cases of Kovid-19 in India, the number of people infected so far in the country has increased to 4,46,66,377. At the same time, the number of patients under treatment has come down to 12,307. According to the updated data released by the Union Health Ministry till 8 am on Sunday, the death toll has increased to 5,30,531 due to the death of 3 more patients due to infection. One of these deaths has been added to the list of dead by Kerala after re-reconciling the death toll from the infection.

According to statistics, the number of patients under treatment is 0.03 percent of the total cases of infection while the recovery rate from Kovid-19 has increased to 98.78 percent. The number of people recovering from Kovid-19 has increased to 4,41,22,562, while the death rate is 1.19 percent. Under the nationwide anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign, 219.80 crore doses have been given so far. Significantly, on August 7, 2020, the number of corona virus infected in India had crossed 20 lakhs, on August 23, 2020, 30 lakhs and on September 5, 2020, more than 40 lakhs.

The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakhs on September 16, 2020, 60 lakhs on September 28, 2020, 70 lakhs on October 11, 2020, 80 lakhs on October 29, 2020 and 90 lakhs on November 20, 2020. On December 19, 2020, these cases had exceeded one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed 20 million and on June 23, 2021, it had crossed 30 million. On January 25 this year, the total cases of infection had crossed 4 crores. In the last 24 hours, 3 cases of death due to infection have been reported in the country. Out of these, 1 case has come up from Karnataka, while 1 from West Bengal.
