Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda has made a big comment about Sirsa MP Kumari Shailja. Recently, in a conversation with a newspaper, he said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has accepted defeat by appealing to include Shailja in the party. There are reports that Shailja has been staying away from the campaign since the ticket allocation. However, nothing has been said officially by her about this.
While talking to The Tribune, Hooda was asked questions about Shailja. He praised the Sirsa MP as a senior and responsible leader. He also said that the BJP has accepted defeat especially after former CM Manohar Lal Khattar offered Shailja to join the BJP.
Opposition parties targeted
Hooda has appealed to the voters to vote for the Congress candidates. Regarding the possibility of Abhay Chautala becoming the Chief Minister, he said that in a democracy everyone has the right to express their views, but he reiterated that the rule will be of the Congress. He also raised questions on the rule of BJP and Jannayak Janata Party. However, the alliance of BJP and JJP has now broken.
what did khattar say
Former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had appealed to Selja to join the BJP. Khattar had called upon Selja to join the BJP while addressing a public meeting in favour of BJP candidate Harvinder Kalyan in Gharaunda on Friday evening. Khattar also pointed to the alleged infighting in the state unit of the Congress ahead of the assembly elections.
He said, ‘There is a lot of infighting (in Haryana Congress) and there is no clarity on their face for the post of Chief Minister. There is a fight between father and son (Congress leaders Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Deepender Hooda). The father says he will become the Chief Minister while the son says he will become (the Chief Minister). Apart from them, other leaders also have a desire (to become the Chief Minister).’
Khattar said, ‘Our Dalit sister is sitting at home. Today many people are thinking what they should do. Many people were angry with her and we included her in our party. We are ready with the offer and if she comes, we are ready to include her in the party.’
When the media later asked the former Chief Minister if Kumari Selja would join the BJP, he said, ‘This is a world of possibilities and possibilities cannot be denied, so when the right time comes, everything will be known.’
Voting for the 90 assembly seats of Haryana will be held on October 5 and the counting of votes will take place on October 8. The model code of conduct has been in force in the state since August 16 in view of the assembly elections.
