Liquor started coming out of the tanker instead of gas, even the police lost their senses; Drug consignment was going to Gujarat

Dungarpur. These days the police seems to be very alert regarding liquor smuggling. Bichiwada police station of the district had received information about illegal liquor smuggling. After which Pusis sent a team to the spot with immediate effect, blockaded and started searching the vehicles. During the search, the police got hold of a huge quantity of liquor from the tanker. After enquiry, it was found that the liquor was being smuggled to Gujarat by hiding it in a tanker.

In the case, Bichiwada police station officer Anil Deval said that information about illegal liquor smuggling was received through the informer. On this, Rajasthan Z along with the team blockaded the Ratanpur border of Gujarat and started searching the vehicles. During this, a gas tanker was seen coming from Udaipur. When the tanker was stopped and the driver was asked, he was told that it was a gas tanker, but when the police opened the tanker and searched it, liquor boxes were found in it. A large quantity of liquor was loaded in the tanker.

Accused driver from Barmer district

In police interrogation, the accused driver has described himself as a resident of Jhak police station, Baytu in Barmer district. The accused driver has been identified as Tulsaram, son of Baburam (27). When the driver Baburam was questioned regarding the liquor, he could not give any information, after which the police seized the tanker and made it stand at the checkpoint.

850 cases of liquor of different brands were seized

After taking off the liquor boxes from the tanker and counting, 850 boxes of liquor of different brands were found. The cost of the seized liquor is said to be around Rs 60 lakh. The same police seized the tanker and arrested the accused driver Baburam. The seized liquor was being smuggled to Gujarat by hiding it in a tanker, so that the police could not get a clue and the liquor could be easily transported across the border.
