After the expansion, the process of changing the BJP state president will start.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is in Delhi today amid the ongoing talks regarding Maharashtra cabinet expansion. He participated in the meeting of NITI Aayog under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. More than 35 days have passed since the swearing-in of CM Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, but the Maharashtra cabinet is yet to be expanded. According to sources, CM Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister can discuss cabinet expansion with big leaders of BJP in Delhi.

What did CM Shinde say on the delay in the expansion of the cabinet?

On Saturday, CM Shinde had said that the work of the state government has not been affected in any way due to the delay in the expansion of the cabinet. More ministers will be inducted soon. Let us tell you that the matter of membership of rebel MLAs is also pending in the Supreme Court. It is being speculated that CM Shinde will hold talks with some leaders of the BJP high command regarding the distribution of portfolios in the Maharashtra cabinet. It is being said that the list of ministers has been prepared.

Opposition leaders criticized the delay

Significantly, Eknath Shinde and Fadnavis were sworn in as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister on June 30 after Uddhav Thackeray’s resignation from the post of CM due to rebellion in Shiv Sena. The two have since served as a two-member cabinet, which has been criticized by opposition leaders including NCP leader and former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar. Responding to the criticism of the opposition, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that Ajit Pawar is the leader of the opposition, he will have to say such things. They have forgotten that in the first 32 days when he was in government, there were only five ministers. He said that soon the Maharashtra cabinet will be expanded.
